CCTV appeal following Summerbridge burglary

10 December 2012

Police are appealing for members of the public to help identify two men seen on CCTV on the night of a break-in on the New York Mills industrial estate in Summerbridge near Pateley Bridge.

On the night of Sunday 2 to 3 December 2012, burglars broke into an industrial unit on the estate and rifled through cupboards and drawers, however, it is not believed anything was taken.

Officers have released CCTV images of two men who were captured on camera on the estate on the night of the burglary.

One of the men is wearing a distinctive red and white patterned hat and police are appealing to local people to get in touch if they recognise the hat or the wearer or have any other information which could help identify the pair.

The men may be unconnected to the burglary and if they see this appeal, officers would like them to contact the police and explain the reason why they were there.

Anyone with anyone information which could help the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC Bill Hickson. Or you can email him at bill.hickson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

Alternatively, you can pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
