Different PR on top of the world after dialling up American deal

22 September 2012

Yorkshire PR and new media specialists Different PR has clinched a transatlantic deal to launch a unique iPhone accessory across America.

Jakit® – which combines a hard case and tangle-free retractable earphones – boasts a unique design feature which enables it to be worn on the smartphone permanently.

There is no need to take Jakit® off to use the phone normally, including accessing Bluetooth or turning on loudspeakers.

The all-in-one product – which has taken two years to develop, test and manufacture – will be available for Apple iPhone 4 and 4S users in the first phase of the launch.

Already, the company who masterminded the Jakit® concept is putting the finishing processes to its Samsung Galaxy SIII and iPhone 5 versions.

Different PR director David Simister said:

We are incredibly excited to be launching Jakit® as there’s nothing like it on the market.

Over the last few months, we have worked closely with the American expatriate community living and working in the region.

Getting a first-hand insight into their culture and language is a key strand to the campaign, and these focus groups helped us to shape the forthcoming on-line media blitz.

Part of the strategy will see us targeting US technology and gadget bloggers, websites and, of course, maximising Facebook and Twitter.

Many of our clients are strong in worldwide markets and we have supported them in their export drive.

Launching a product to the US is a ‘first’ for us and we are thrilled that we have earned our stripes – and stars – in being invited to be part of the success story.
