Police investigate after man found injured in York

PoliceYork police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with serious head injuries in the city.

The 37-year-old local man was discovered on Museum Street by a police officer at 12:45am on Friday 31 August 2012. He had suffered injuries to the back of his head and a fractured eye socket. He was taken to York District Hospital where he currently remains in a stable condition.

 

Detective Sergeant Stuart Barnett, of York CID, said:

I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the man being assaulted or can help to establish how the man suffered the head injuries.
