Police seek Harrogate oil theft suspects

Harrogate police have released images of two suspects they would like to trace following the theft of motor oil in the town.

It occurred at 1.20pm on Tuesday 22 May 2012, at the Woodlands Stop & Shop filling station on Wetherby Road.

The two men officers are trying to trace are believed to have entered the store before taking motor oil from a shelf and leaving without paying for it.

The only description of the men is that they are white. At the time of the theft one man was wearing an orange work jacket and the second was wearing a fluorescent yellow jacket.

PC Emma Hayes, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

If you recognize either of the men in the images please contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.

I am also asking the men themselves to come forward in case there has been a misunderstanding.
