New head chef and a return to a bistro-style menu at Hotel du Vin

23 May 2012

Hotel du Vin in Harrogate has a new head chef, Jason Wardill and a return to a traditional bistro-style menu.

Originally from Bridlington, Jason moved to Australia for three years, before returning to his Yorkshire roots to join the Michelin starred Rascasse in Leeds. He has subsequently enjoyed spells as head chef at both the award winning Rudding Park and Swinton Park. He joins Hotel du Vin from Nidd Hall Hotel where he was executive chef and food and beverage manager.

Jason said:

We have restyled the menu to take it back to our bistro roots. We are focussing on the seasonal, classic dishes which symbolise what Hotel du Vin is all about and create them using the very best of British produce. We have also reintroduced an old favourite ‘the blackboard specials’ where my team and get to express our passion for food, on a daily basis.
