Georgina North

Police search for missing York woman

York police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a missing woman.

Georgina North, 24, of Oakville Avenue, York has not been seen since 12pm on Wednesday 18 April 2012, when she was seen in a local shop on Huntington Road.

Police are concerned for Georgina’s welfare as her behaviour is out of character and she is considered to be vulnerable.

Georgina is white, approximately 5ft 6in tall, with a medium build and red shoulder length hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a red coat.

Although it is not known where Georgina has gone, it is believed that she may be in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

PC Charlotte Gregory, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

Georgina if you see or hear this appeal please get in touch with your family, they are very worried about you and want to know that you are safe and well. If you would prefer, you can contact the police in confidence.

I am also appealing to anyone who may be able to help locate Georgina since she was last seen to contact the police straight away.

Anyone who can assist with the search for Georgina North is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, press option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room for the attention of Charlotte Bloxham.
