Harrogate police hunt charity theft suspect

Police in Harrogate are appealing for the public’s help to locate a man they would like to speak with following a theft from a charity shop.

David Reid, 50, is believed to have information regarding the theft of money from the Barnardo’s shop on Beulah Street, Harrogate on Sunday 27 February 2011.

Reid is white, 5ft 9in tall with a medium build and dark hair. He has an address in Scarborough but may be anywhere in the country.

PC Richard Coulthard, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

We have made a number of enquiries to locate David Reid. However, these have all proven negative.

I am appealing to anyone who knows where Mr Reid is currently living to get in touch with the police so that we can speak to him.

David, if you see or hear this appeal, I would urge you to make contact so that I can better understand the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the money.
