MP cuts ribbon on new Starbeck venture

Starbeck MP, Andrew Jones, today opened a new venture on Starbeck High Street in Harrogate – Millers Cafe.

The cafe is owned and run by local resident Michael Miller and is situated on the High Street, Starbeck opposite St Andrew’s Church.

Mr Jones was joined by Deputy Mayor, Councillor Mrs Pat Jones, to perform the opening ceremony. Following the ceremony Mr Jones and the Deputy Mayor stayed to talk to customers.

Mr Jones commented:

When you see so much gloom spoken about the economy it is great to see new businesses opening and entrepreneurs making the most of their opportunities. The many customers I spoke to were enthusiastic about the new cafe and I wish Michael and the team every success.

After the opening ceremony Mr Miller commented:

I’m so pleased to have opened my new business in Starbeck. I really want my cafe to be a community facility for the people of Starbeck and area and I’m grateful that our MP was able to give the time to help at the opening.
