Harvest festival fun at Western Primary

31 October 2011

Foundation Stage children at Western Primary School and Nursery celebrated the pick of the crop at their Harvest Festival show at the end of October. The children, aged 3 and 4, had great fun performing the story of the giant turnip and sang harvest related songs to a large audience of parents and visitors.

Claire Magill, Infant Team Leader said:

We learned all about produce in the foundation stage in the first half of term.

Children love sharing the songs and stories they have learned at school and putting on a performance in the school enabled them to bring their learning to life.

They thoroughly enjoyed preparing for the show. It was a delight to see the support of so many parents, and to watch the children brimming with confidence on the stage.
