Missing Harrogate man – Police appeal for the public’s help to locate him

Police in Harrogate are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man.

47-year-old David Holdsworth, has not been seen since 6:30pm on Thursday 4 August 2011, when a neighbour saw him at his home address on Hookstone Avenue, driving his car. The car is now parked at the address.

Officers are concerned for Mr Holdsworth’s welfare this disappearance is out of character. He also has health issues and he does not have the essential medication he requires.

Mr Holdsworth is white, approximately 6ft 1in tall with a medium build and a clean shaven head. It is not known what Mr Holdsworth was wearing at the time he went missing.

Officers do not believe Mr Holdsworth has any money or a mobile telephone with him.

It is not known where David may have gone. Although he may be using a small red tent which is missing from the house.

PC Rebecca Wood, of the Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr Holdsworth since he was last seen to contact the police as a matter of urgency.

“If you see or hear this appeal David I ask that you get in touch as soon as possible so that we confirm you are safe and well.”
