Wetherby training company chosen to judge industry awards

23 June 2011

A training business in Wetherby has been invited to judge a major industry award – less than six months after it was set up.

Dinero Development is run by Tricia Jephcott and Ann Lunn, both highly experienced in the training industry. They specialise in offering high-quality customer service and management training to businesses throughout Yorkshire.

Now Tricia, who lives in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, has been asked to sit on the judging panel for this year’s Customer Service Training Association Awards alongside fellow experts including David Morris, head of learning for HSBC, and Karen Spillane, training executive for BSkyB.

“It’s a fantastic honour,” said Tricia, who has been involved in training both managers and staff in customer service for more than 20 years. “I think it’s vital those training the teams that play such an important role in improving and developing business people are formally recognised for their hard work – after all, what they do can be linked directly to company profits.

“Customer service is key for most businesses and it’s great when they’re known for doing it well – but we shouldn’t forget to acknowledge those who taught the staff their skills in the first place. To provide great customer service, you need a great team to develop and deliver the relevant training.”

She added: “As a new business ourselves, it’s fitting that Dinero Development is judging the Rookie of the Year category. By being involved at this level, we hope we can encourage more Yorkshire businesses to put themselves forward for the awards next time.”

The Customer Service Training Association Awards attract entries from some of the UK’s biggest businesses, including Pizza Hut, Matalan, Gatwick Airport, Barclaycard, Specsavers and Lloyds TSB. This year’s competition culminates in a prestigious ceremony on Friday, 8th July 2011 at the Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel.
