Chartered accountants and tax advisors, Saffery Champness, whose specialisms include advising on both UK and offshore trust formation and management, have been listed as one of the UK’s Top 25 trust advisors.

The listing takes into account the quantity of trusts administered, average size of assets and number of offices and has been compiled by Private Client Practitioner magazine.

Alison Robinson, partner at the firm’s Harrogate office and a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners said the ranking recognised the firm’s reputation in the private client trust sector.

“As specialists in what is an incredibly complex area we are able to make the best use of this expertise when advising on tax planning and asset protection,” said Robinson.

“One of the most important considerations for clients who are considering forming a trust is to find the most suitable one for their needs for which appropriate documentation can be drawn up to support their future intentions.

“Once established our role becomes one of ongoing advice, management and administration as we oversee transactions, investments and property portfolios.”

In addition to its Yorkshire office, Saffery Champness has eight further mainland UK centres and offices in Geneva and Guernsey specialising in offshore trusts.
