A new dance studio is set to open in Harrogate providing lessons from age 2 to adult.

The studio is over 400 square feet and is based at the back of 11 Dragon Terrace and will run classes in:

Baby ballet for age 2 – 4 and a half, Street/Urban for age 4 – 6, Street/Urban for age 7 – 9, Street/Urban for age 10 – 13, Junior Cheerleading, multiple Zumba classes, Junior Glee Club (singing and dancing), Adults Street/Urban for beginners and Adults Street/Urban for Intermediates.

The studio is the culmination of years of hard work by Lauren Gotts:

“I started dance at the age of 3 and I have always dreamt of having my own dance studio. I have worked in different sectors from Car Sales to Hairdressing, Fitness Industry to Accountancy, but my passion has always been for Dance and I knew if I didn’t follow this dream, I would always regret it”

“I decided on the location as it is central, easily accessible, good for parking and it is the perfect starter size for my business”

Lauren explained more about her dance background:

“I have been running the business for 15months renting church halls and now felt it was the perfect time to take the next step and get a permanent place”

“My mum and older sister are both teachers and my dad runs his own business, I wanted to pursue them both at the same time”

“I love to dance for fun, fitness and the feel good factor and always try to keep up to date and have recently completed Zumba and Cheerleading”

Lauren explained the wider benefits of dance:

“Dance  is an excellent way of keeping fit, it is also a social activity and a great way of expressing feelings and getting rid of the tensions of the day. Dance has psychological and physical benefits”
