Two women arrested for New Lane murders in Bradford

Detectives from the enquiry team have today arrested two women on suspicion of murder. The women, aged 26 and 63 were arrested from an address in the Leeds Road area of Bradford. Both women are now in custody being questioned by detectives.

Forensic enquiries are currently being carried out at an address in Heath Terrace,

Bradford. A vehicle that may have been involved in the offence has also been recovered in the Whetley Lane area of the city.

In a further development, police are also now in a position to release the identities of the murder victims. The two men are, Shahbzada Muhammed Imran, (also known locally as Imran Khan), aged 27 of Gloucester Avenue, Bradford and Ahmedin Sayed Khyel, aged 35 from London.

Det Supt Dick Nuttall added: “We now know that both men left the house on Gloucester Avenue at around 8pm on Tuesday evening. They were together and on foot. I am appealing for anyone who saw the men in the area at this time to contact us so that we can piece together their movements in the period before their death.

“Any witnesses or anyone with any information which could assist in our investigations is urged to contact the Incident Room immediately on (01924) 334693.”
