Further body found in Bradford close to Holme Lane

North Yorkshire PoliceA murder investigation is currently underway in Bradford following the discovery of a body close to Holme Lane at around 6:15am this morning (12 May 2011).

It is not currently clear if this is related to the bodies found  in the same area on the evening of 10 May 2011.

Police were contacted by the Fire Service attending a report of a fire in the open at the location.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Superintendent Paul Taylor is leading the enquiry and said:

“We are currently working to establish the full circumstances of this incident and enquiries are at a very early stage.

“I am liaising closely with Detective Superintendent Dick Nuttall who is investigating the recent incident on New Lane.

“Although the incidents are geographically close, there is nothing to suggest at this stage that they are linked.

“Our investigations are ongoing and work will now begin around identification.

“Our local Neighbourhood Policing Team officers will also continue to provide a strong presence in the area through reassurance patrols.

“I would like to call on anyone with any information about or any witnesses to contact the police immediately at the Incident Room on (01924) 334675.
