Fatal Road Traffic Collision in Leeds

Police are appealing for information after a 38-year-old local woman died after a two vehicle collision on the A656 near Micklefield last night (5/4).

The incident occurred around 8.45pm on the A656 close to the junction with Church Lane when a red Ford Fiesta travelling towards Garforth was in collision with a silver VW golf.

A 38-year-old local woman, who was a passenger in the fiesta, died at the scene. Another passenger in the fiesta, a 43-year-old woman, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.

The driver, a 49-year-old local man, and another female passenger aged 18 were also taken to hospital with serious injuries but at this stage these are not considered to be life threatening.

The 40-year-old male driver of the golf, who is from London, was taken to Pinderfields Hospital with the 15-year-old male passenger. The injuries to both men are not considered to be life threatening.
