Overnight break-in to Business units net thieves over £25,000

23 March 2011

There was an overnight break-in to the Claro Court business centre effecting 5 units and taking equipment valued at over £15,000 plus a car.

The window on one unit was broken gaining access to that unit and the rear communal corridor. Significant damage was then made attempting entry to one unit but failing. Entry was then made to 3 other units by breaking the front windows and to another units by the rear access door.

The units effect were a catering equipment hire company, a dental implant maker and two photographers. One unit broken into was empty but previously occupied by an Audio-Visual hire company.

Equipment taken was camera equipment, studio equipment, LCD Monitors, Hi-Fi, ipods valued at over £15,000 and a car with only 30 miles on the clock.

Crime Scene Investigation attended and spent a number of hours collecting evidence from each unit and have taken away what have been described as “significant items of evidence”

It is thought that this is a well planned and very targeted break-in.

If you were in that area overnight or have any information relating to this then police on 0845 60 60 247 quoting reference NYP-23032011-0227
