A battling second half performance saw Town leave Damson Park with a valuable point.

Town hardly mounted an attack in a first half dominated by the Moors. But it took until the 38th minute before they took the lead when Junior English drove into the corner of the net, after the Town defence failed to clear a Sam Adkins free kick.

Town were a different to team after the break with Gary King heading Andy Hutchinson’s cross just over in the first minute,then Joe Maguire had a shot kicked off the line. However,Solihull appeared to secure both points with a quarter of an hour left when Adam Cunnington beat Mark Cook with a low cross shot.

Town were thrown a lifeline three minutes later when sub Graeme Armstrong scored fron the spot after Cunnington handled in his own penalty area.

Harrogate pressed for an equaliser and with two minutes left Jake Picton blasted into the roof of the net after the Moors failed to clear a corner.

The game still had a twist in the tail with Town’s Matt Bloomer heading against his own post deep into stoppage time,but Harrogate survived to gain a creditable draw. Scorers Armstrong 78 pen.Picton 88.
