V in the Park is the only event shortlisted in Yorkshire… now we need your help!
V in the Park is a big summer event to promote volunteering which has been organised by the Harrogate Volunteer Centre in association with Harrogate Hospital and Community Friends Big Picnic.
The Volunteer Centre said:
V in the Park is a great chance to chat to volunteers and find out more about what volunteering actually involves without feeling pressured to sign up for anything. We’ve got together a variety of local organisations which all offer very different volunteer roles. They will be running some fantastic activities to demonstrate what their volunteers actually do – and some of it is definitely not what you’d expect when you think of volunteering!
Everyone is welcome to come and take part in the activities on 8th July (12.00 – 4.00pm) in the Sun Pavilion in Harrogate’s Valley Gardens.
V in the Park is also proud to announce that it has been shortlisted in a national competition being run by www.ivo.org. The Volunteer Centre is calling on everyone to help Harrogate win by casting your vote on the website before 6th June 2012: www.ivo.org/ivo/posts/the-ivo-funding-competition-shortlist-is-out
V in the Park is the only event which has been shortlisted in Yorkshire so it would be fantastic to see everyone in Harrogate get behind the event to support voluntary activity in Harrogate.
Come on Harrogate we can win it!
