Yorkshire Water apologise for Harrogate burst pipe

3 March 2017

Yorkshire Water have apologised after 6,000 homes were left without water following a burst water main.

Paul Carter from Yorkshire Water said: We would like to apologise to anyone who was without water in Harrogate this morning. We were alerted to a burst water main near the hospital on Wetherby Road at around 4.45am this morning which was affecting supplies to around 6000 homes.

We quickly dispatched a team to site who were able to isolate the burst and transfer customers on to alternative supplies.

All properties in the area should have had their supplies restored within about an hour, although some people may have experienced low pressure following this.

We now have a team working to repair the burst water main. We would like to thank customers for their patience and apologise for any disruption.
