New martial arts gym opens

27 February 2017

A new H Hour Boxing and Kao Loi Gym has opened in Harrogate.

The gym, a former Jehovah’s Witness meeting Hall on the Skipton Road, was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Harrogate, Christine Ryder.

On arrival the Deputy Mayor and husband Chris were greeted by the Head Coaches at Kao Loi and H Hour, Pierre Mahon and Rob Smith.

Christine Ryder said: We loved the demos. I think the most special thing was the great effort, support and commitment from you guys who give everything for the young people to progress.

Pierre Mahon said: We are delighted that the Deputy Mayor could conduct our ceremony this evening and that she was impressed with the sessions we run here.

Rob Smith, who is also the Chief Inspector at the British Boxing Board of Control, said: This was a special evening and one which would not have been possible without the invaluable help we have had during the build process from our members.

We also have been lucky to have such supportive sponsors at Geezers Boxing, Kitchen Warehouse, Resurrection Security, Recruit 4 Vets, Beaucare, and Futurebuilds. Many thanks to you all!

Kao Loi and H Hour run classes and personal sessions for all age groups every day of the week.
