Yorkshire law firm Berwins held a special celebration at Harrogate’s Sun Pavilion to toast its 30th anniversary and the role played by colleagues, associates and friends from the local community in its longevity and success.
The firm was founded by Paul Berwin in 1986 and has become on of Yorkshire’s leading law firms, opening a second office in Leeds in 2013.
Paul, whose ambition is as strong today as it was 30 years ago, said:
What we don’t do at Berwins is look back, because Berwins has, for me, always been an adventure and a challenge, to make better, to entrench our values deeper, and to provide more for our clients.
I am so proud of where we’ve come from, but more than that, I’m excited where we’re going.
From its early days, Berwins has developed into five niche teams : Property, Life, Family, Business and Digital. Family solicitor Sarah Smith took over as managing director in 2013, freeing Paul to grow the business and digital side and establish the firm’s Leeds office.
Berwins has also earned plaudits for its charity work within the community and beyond. Last year, kicked off by Paul’s Tel Aviv marathon, the firm raised £15,000 for Macmillan.
Paul spoke of his excitement at the firm’s ongoing growth and development and the way his team has taken the ‘best of Harrogate’ into Leeds.
I’m incredibly proud of the depth of the care and passion within this remarkable firm.
