‘Hole in One’ as Visit Harrogate launches new Harrogate District Golf Pass

12 April 2016

Golf lovers visiting the Harrogate District can really get in the swing with the launch of the new Harrogate District Golf Pass.

With the choice of either a three-day or five-day Golf Pass, the latest offering from Visit Harrogate provides great value golf at five of the District’s best courses – Harrogate Golf Club, Knaresborough Golf Club, Pannal Golf Club, Ripon City Golf Club and Rudding Park Golf Club.

Regardless of experience or handicap, the Harrogate District offers a wealth of choice which spans an 18 hole, Par 72, 6,614 yard course recognised by the R&A governing body as an open qualifier venue; a scenic round with some interesting challenges; or a gentle six holes of SSS Par 3.

Director of Visit Harrogate, Michael Newby, said:

Leading golf course designers Mackenzie and Hawtree have left their mark on these courses, creating some unique features and appealing contours. Beautiful natural woodland and heathland complement the rolling fairways, revealing sweeping views across the Yorkshire countryside – a real must for all golfers.

The District boasts some truly magnificent courses with superb facilities. Our Golf Pass is excellent value and we are confident that it will help put us on the map as a great golfing destination.

For golfers working up an appetite, Harrogate has over 135 restaurants to choose from, with many more culinary gems across the District offering fine dining or fabulous pub food in charming villages.

Mike Newby said:

There is also a wealth of indoor and outdoor activities such as luxury spas, gardens and stately homes for non-golfers travelling with golfers. The Harrogate District is easily accessible by car, bus and rail with the nearest airport, Leeds and Bradford, not far away.

The Harrogate District Golf Pass three-day, three-round pass is £75; the five-day, five-round pass is £110. Available by calling Visit Harrogate on 01423 537388.
