Harrogate-based Scandinavian café Baltzersen’s has appointed Helen Tennant in the new role of social media and marketing manager.

Helen, who previously worked as an assistant manager for Baltzersen’s will work alongside owner Paul Rawlinson to grow the presence of the business online via the website and social media activity. She will also help to manage initiatives such as the new rewards scheme on behalf of both the café and its evening service, Norse.

Helen recently graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in English Language. Before joining Baltzersen’s, she worked as a waitress at Tamper coffee and Rudding Park Hotel.

Paul Rawlinson said:

Helen has been working at Baltzersen’s for the past two and half years, she is familiar with how the business works and understands our ethos as an independent café. Her insight and knowledge of the day to day workings of the organisation means she is the perfect candidate to push our marketing activity forward.

Helen said:

I am delighted to be re-joining Baltzersen’s and Norse as social media and marketing manager. As a passionate foodie and customer of the café myself, the role is perfect for me. The two brands have really established themselves within the region and the foodie world, and I can’t wait to be a part of its future success.

Helen lives in Scotton near Knaresborough and you can normally find her sampling brunch menus at eateries across the region. She even reviews them on the Baltzersen’s blog here www.baltzersens.co.uk/news
