Harrogate accountancy firm Saffery Champness has promoted the head of its not-for-profit sector to director.
Sally Appleton has been with the firm for 10 years and has been responsible for developing its specialism in audit and accountancy for charities and academy schools.
Martin Holden, head of the Harrogate office, said:
Sally has built a strong team and played an instrumental role in shaping our role as an adviser of choice for not-for-profit organisations.
In her role as director she will continue to lead this important and expanding side of our business.
Sally Appleton said:
Our not-for-profit team is highly experienced in dealing with the kinds of issues that are commonly faced by charitable institutions and academies.
In my new role I will be focusing on further developing our position as a leading not-for-profit adviser with a view to providing specialist support to even more organisations in the Yorkshire region.
