Berwins Solicitors has blasted its 2015 charity fundraising target by raising £15,000 for cancer charity MacMillan.
The total is one of the highest ever raised for a single charity by the Harrogate law firm, which set out a year ago with a goal of £10K.
Holly Marcham, who chairs Berwins’ charity committee said:
We all thought our original target was pretty ambitious and we couldn’t have imagined we’d end up beating it by 50 per cent.
Our colleagues, clients and friends really pulled out all the stops last year and contributed in so many different ways, whether they were running, hiking and baking cakes or sponsoring and cheering each other on.
Hollie revealed that the firm has chosen to support the charity Shelter in 2016.
Supporting good causes is part of who we are at Berwins and we already have lots of exciting new ideas and activities lined up to raise money for our 2016 charity.
I can’t thank everyone enough for their support and hard work last year and we’re all looking forward to having lots of fundraising fun in the year ahead.
