Ripon attempted handbag snatch

A woman has been knocked to the ground during an attempted handbag snatch.

It took place on Crescent Road, Ripon between 5.45pm and 6.05pm on Wednesday, 2 December 2015. A man approached the woman from behind and tried to wrench the bag out of her hand. She fell to the ground and grazed her knee.



The suspect, who is believed to be around 6ft tall, ran off empty-handed towards North Street and Christian Terrace.

Officers have conducted house-to-house enquiries in the area and are reviewing CCTV footage.
