22 October 2015

Jordan Robson of Harrogate, born 25 October 1983, was in court today (22 October 2015) facing charges of kidnap, wounding and false imprisonment.

The magistrates heard that on 17 October 2015, the complainant was forced into a vehicle by Mr Robson and two accomplices. A 31-year-old and 32-year-old have also been charged with grievous bodily harm and kidnap. They attended Northallerton Magistrates Court on Monday 19 October 2015, where they were given conditional bail.

Mr Robson voluntarily attended Harrogate Police station yesterday, where he was interviewed and charged.

The complainant has made a statement that he was forced into a vehicle and driven around Harrogate being periodically beaten. He was then driven to the Yorkshire Showground where he received a further physical attack, along with the use of a wooden bat.

Mr Robson says that the complainant willingly got in the vehicle and acknowledged that he had punched the man twice, but he had been punched first.

Jordan Robson will face trial at York Crown Court on the 2 November 2015. He was given conditional bail with conditions he would be electronically tagged with a 7pm to 7am curfew, would reside at an address outside of the area and that he did not enter North Yorkshire, other than for pre-arranged court, solicitor or hospital appointments. He was also ordered to not make contact with the complainant or the co-accused.
