North Yorkshire Police are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on Station Parade in Harrogate.
The incident happened at around 1.45pm today, Wednesday 21 October 2015 and involved an elderly male pedestrian and a car.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and is being taken to hospital by air ambulance.
The road is closed and expected to be for some time. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and find an alternative route.
