Harrogate Soroptimists raise £600 for Our Angels

9 October 2015

A Yorkshire Quiz with a twist provided a perfect opportunity to raise money for Our Angels, a local charity supporting parents who have lost a baby. Soroptimist International of Harrogate and District organised the Pie and Pea Quiz night to support President Sue Williams’ chosen charity. Sue knows from experience the devastation that the loss of a baby before, at or soon after birth causes a family and how the right support at the right time can make such a difference.

The event, held at St Andrew’s church Hall, Starbeck raised a fantastic £600. The Club aims to raise £1500 over the year to enable Our Angels to fund a specialist training day for healthcare professionals to support families after the loss of a baby.
