Catherine also lectures widely, delivers training sessions and Board Strategy presentations and contributes to various publications. She is an elected member of the Charity Law Association Executive Committee.
Yorkshire Cancer Research, which marks its 90th anniversary in 2015, is dedicated to improving cancer outcomes in Yorkshire by funding projects that tackle local cancer problems and priorities.
Catherine, who lives in Thirsk, said:
Yorkshire Cancer Research carries out pioneering work and is one of the most prominent charities based in Yorkshire. I had worked with the Board in a professional capacity and welcomed the opportunity to join the Board and be part of its future plans.
Professor Anthony Robards, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said:
For Yorkshire Cancer Research to achieve its aims of significantly improving cancer outcomes for the people of Yorkshire, we need to recruit the very best talent and expertise to serve as trustees on our Board.
I am, therefore, particularly delighted to welcome Catherine onto the Board as she is now one of Yorkshire’s leading charity lawyers and will strengthen still further our increasingly competent and professional group of trustees.
