UKIP MEP Jane Collins to address Harrogate public meeting

11 September 2015

UKIP’s employment spokeswoman and Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire MEP, Jane Collins, is the main speaker at public meeting being held in Harrogate in September.

Mrs Collins – a fierce anti child sex exploitation campaigner – will be talking about her role as a Euro politician and giving an update about the EU Referendum ‘No Campaign’.

She was one of three Yorkshire UKIP MEPS elected to the European Parliament in May 2014, and at the general election she stood in the Rotherham constituency where she came second, polling more than 11,000 votes.

Harrogate& Knaresborough UKIP chairman, Alan Henderson said:

We are very much looking forward to hearing from Jane at our September meeting, which is open to all.

Jane is a well-known campaigner and a regular face on TV politics programmes, regional and national. I’m particularly keen to hear her thoughts on the forthcoming in-out EU Referendum, and how she will be supporting the no campaign.

The meeting, being held at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 17, at Harrogate’s Ascot House Hotel, on Kings Road, when we will also hear from UKIP County Councillor David Simister who will update us on his recent council activities.
