Tom McGhie was last seen by family members on Thursday morning (11 June) when he left home for college in Harrogate. He was seen again near Conningham Hall, Knaresborough at around 1.30pm, but has not been seen or heard from since.
Update: 15:50 – Tom McGhie has now been found
Police are becoming increasingly concerned for Tom’s safety as it is very out of character for him to be out of contact with his family for so long.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard from Tom since Thursday or knows of his current whereabouts to contact them.
He is described as 6ft tall, of slim build with blonde hair and blue eyes. When he was last seen he was wearing ripped, pale blue jeans, a dark coloured hoody, brown trainers and was carrying a Reebok record bag.
Sergeant Alex Langley of Harrogate Police said:
Tom, your family are very worried about you. If you see or hear this appeal, please get in touch with your family, friends or the police and let us know that you are safe.
Anyone with any information that could help us find Tom is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
