Flit, a new online estate agency for Yorkshire, is launching with the aim of redefining the way people sell their properties in Yorkshire.
The business will provide house sellers with the opportunity to sell their properties at a fraction of the cost of the traditional high street estate agencies.
The growing dominance of the internet in house purchases is well known with property websites such as Rightmove & Zoopla now advertising around 90% of all estate agents properties across the UK.
Seeing this digital trend as a way of passing savings onto customers the ambitious team at Flit decided to change the traditional estate agency model by keeping the good practices such as local knowledge and personal service whilst reducing fees.
Simon Routh joint founder of Flit said: People are increasingly time short and the way in which they buy and sell their homes is changing.
We want to provide the people from Yorkshire with a high quality, tailored service but at a fraction of the cost of traditional agents.
The website FlitYorkshire.co.uk will be the first online estate agency specifically for Yorkshire. Customers will be able to choose from three fixed price packages. Sellers should benefit from the same level of local knowledge and service as a local estate agent but pay significantly less.
Simon added: People don’t have the time or the need to visit high street estate agents any longer, evidenced by the rapid ascent in the popularity of websites such as Rightmove and other similar property search portals.
We will not have huge expenses such as fancy offices or fleets of branded cars so these cost savings can be passed along to the customer.
We also give 2% of all our fees to three great charities giving help to homeless people throughout Yorkshire.
Flit is founded by local couple Simon Routh and Angela Parrish, who have knowledge of the Yorkshire area and over 30 years property experience.
Angela added: It’s hard to find a group of people who get worse press than traditional estate agents; we want to educate people about our new service which we believe is far more competitive and much fairer.
Unlike traditional fees our price is a flat rate and completely transparent, rather than a percentage of the sale price, meaning house sellers can make substantial savings, particularly at the top end of the market.
