Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a suspicious car fire in Harrogate.

At sometime during the late evening of Friday 6 June and the early hours of Saturday 7 June 2014, an Audi was crashed through a garden fence and into a house on The Parade, before being set on fire.

Prior to the collision the owner of the vehicle, a man in his 40s, reported being assaulted on Cold Bath Road near Sainsbury’s. The victim was wearing a dark pink polo shirt and black jeans. Officers would like to anyone who saw him or two men who were also seen in the area at around 11.30pm on 6 June 2014.
