Smithers Viscient Europe appoint new mass spectrometry specialist

Smithers Viscient Europe Ltd in Harrogate are the leading provider of Environmental sciences and have today (16 June 2014) announced the appointment of Rory Mumford to the position of Mass Spectrometry specialist.

Mumford joins Smithers with significance experience in working with clients to solve their unique analytical chemistry challenges. In his previous role as Technical Expert – Mass Spectrometry and Separation Science at Charles River Laboratories, he spent 12 years developing high resolution mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry capabilities. His skill sets include separation science, metabolism, mass spectrometry and knowledge management.

An experienced scientist, Mumford will work with the rest of the senior management team to continue to deliver high quality scientific projects for Smithers Viscient clients. He will utilise his significant experience to support growth in his specialist area.

Mumford, who holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Medicinal Sciences, has relocated to Harrogate to take up this post.
