Dirty Stops Out – Trev’s guide to what’s happening

3 April 2014

Dj Trev’s -Not Preaching, Just Sayin’ – guide to what’s on in Harrogate and wherehaveyou.

I have, in my “headline”, said “not preaching, just saying” as according to facebook, you can put “just saying” after anything and it means that you are not being a preachy high horse pedantic person, you are just being clever and witty. And everyone who knows me knows that I would NEVER be: preachy OR get on my high horse, AND AM always just being witty and clever – and certainly not ironic, self depreciating, sarcastic, or smelly… I am saying that because essentially this week I am not going to do my usual pre-amble. Today instead of spending my time writing that, I used the 2 or 3 hours it takes me to come up with one half decent joke to do something worthwhile instead. I went and gave blood. I’m not saying that you SHOULD do that, but I am saying I THINK you should. It’s just my opinion, feel free to ignore it just like you ignore all the nights out I say you should go to. Nevertheless, since I went and did that today, that’s my bit of community service so here are this weeks listings, I’m off for a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.

If, like me, you like to get silly tattoo’s, don’t think that means you can use it as an excuse to never give blood, you just have to leave it for a bit in between. http://www.blood.co.uk/ has all the information you might need about that, as clearly I’m no doctor.

There are some good things on this week, for example a new live rock night at the Regency on Thursdays, an excellent house night at moko on Friday, erm, in an impartial way let’s say my Battle of the Bands at Rehab on Sunday, and clearly many more; but seriously, I’m not writing loads this week, read the full listings, as they are after, the full listings.
