World Book Day at Brackenfield School

9 March 2014

The pupils at Brackenfield School dressed as their favourite book character for World Book Day.

They were greeted at the school gate by a wolf and three little pigs. After enjoying a World Book day assembly the older children read to younger children in their classrooms, showing the Brackenfield family ethos at its best.

The day was rounded off with a very successful cake sale in aid of Battersea Dogs Home.

Mrs. Skillington was delighted with the day: The childrens’ reading will be greatly enhanced by this event. They have thoroughly enjoyed being their favourite book character and will be inspired to read more about the characters their friends have chosen. A big thank you to our Director of Studies, Mrs. Sowa for organising such a great day.
