The Rudding Park pair played to their handicaps of 15 and 18 on the front nine but found the last few holes on the inward nine challenging making it a nail biting competition. However they beat their nearest rivals by two points. A wonderful result.

National Seniors Pairs final

Congratulations to Bob Fawbert and Graeme Ogilvie as they were crowned National Seniors Pairs Winners in October 2013. Bob and Graeme drew an away match for the first round which proved difficult but they won 2 and 1 after a tough encounter. For the final at Staverton Park, Northamptonshire Bob and Graeme stepped up a gear scoring several birdies and winning the final outright during the crucial closing holes.

Alice Boothroyd’s Triple success

What a year for Alice Boothroyd, a graduate of Rudding Park’s Golf Scholarship. At 20 years old she has triumphed over more experienced golfers to be crowned Harrogate District Union Ladies Scratch Champion, Ladies Club Champion at Rudding Park and she also helped to lead her US college team, LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds, to win back to back Championships in the North East Conference.
