Today (7 February 2014) at 0559 hours the Fire Service were called to a Road Traffic Collision involving a lorry and a Hyundai car on the A59 in the area of Allerton Park.
Fire engines from Knaresborough and Harrogate Fire Station attended
Upon their arrival they found the driver of the lorry was out of the vehicle. A male aged approximately 48 years was trapped in the car. Crews used cutting equipment to release him and he was then taken to hospital by road ambulance.
