Sales up 11% for the Yorkshire Event Centre and Pavilions

The Yorkshire Event Centre and Pavilions of Harrogate, on the Great Yorkshire Showground, grew their business substantially in 2013.

Sales were 11% up – achieved by attracting many new clients including VW SpringDub, Warners Motorhomes, the Shetland Pony Show and many others. These new clients joined the existing portfolio including two events who celebrated 20 years with us, the Northern Woodworking Show and the National Model Engineering Exhibition.



Looking ahead to 2014, new events include Springtime Live in April and One Big Day, The Blossom Ball in Aid of St Gemma’s Ball and the Bond for Bliss Ball.

Across the Showground, Pavilions of Harrogate hosted 476 events in 2013 from wedding and charity balls to conferences and funeral teas.

Money has also been put back into the business with £48k spent in Pavilions on recarpetting 3 of the medium size rooms.

Yorkshire Event Centre Limited (YEC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society and all our profits go to fund the work of the YAS, which actively supports farming and rural initiatives and organises the annual Great Yorkshire Show and Countryside Live.
