Man trapped after driving into shop window in Harrogate

Emergency services were called to the Starbeck area of Harrogate this morning (21 December 2013) at 6:58 after a vehicle drove into a shop front

Fire crews and paramedics released an 18-year old man who was trapped in a car on the High Street.

Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the vehicle roof and release the 18 year old male driver from the Ford Fiesta. He was then transported to hospital by ambulance with head, thorax and leg injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.
