Clean Energy Yorkshire biomass recruitment drive

6 December 2013

A North Yorkshire renewable energy company has recruited a new member of its sales force as the Government switches its “green emphasis” to biomass technology.

Harrogate-based Clean Energy Yorkshire has employed Jamie Chappell to its team, as it begins a major campaign to promote its wide range of environmentally-friendly products to households and businesses across the north of England.

The company, which was started in 2009 by husband and wife team of Spencer and Tamsin Cassidy, counts Ftse 100 companies, community organisations and home owners as clients and has recently completed a major wind turbine project for supermarket giant Morrisons.

Mr Chappell’s role will be to introduce potential new clients to the full range of Clean Energy Yorkshire’s products, which include solar PV, ground source heat pumps, wind turbines and biomass boilers.

Mrs Cassidy said:

Jamie is very experienced in property maintenance and brings the right credentials with him to our business. The renewable energy business is entering a new phase as the government looks at encouraging those LPG and oil fired boilers to move to biomass.

Jamie will be representing Clean Energy Yorkshire all over the north of England and using his network of contacts to promote us far and wide.

Mr Chappell said:

Working for Clean Energy Yorkshire is a new challenge for me, and one I’m very much looking forward to.

The rising cost of fuel bills is never out of the news and only by installing renewable energy systems can householders and businesses make any savings.

The new must-have is biomass and this is one area I’ll be majoring on in my role with Clean Energy Yorkshire.
