21 November 2013

Young people in North Yorkshire who need help with health or money or other issues and who want to find out about activities in their area, have a new, dedicated website to turn to.

The North Yorkshire Youth Support Service website offers a wealth of information to young people aged 11 to 19 and up to 25 for those with special educational needs or disabilities.

The website www.nyyss.org is full to the brim with information and advice on issues that affect young people such as health, housing, Harrogatemoney, relationships, staying safe, and education and careers, with links to organisations that can offer specialist support.

The site also includes information about the Youth Support Service (YSS) and its many activities, plus up-to-date news relevant to young people such as apprenticeship opportunities and local and national events and projects.

County Councillor Tony Hall, North Yorkshire’s Executive Member for the Youth Service said:

We hope young people will find this an invaluable resource as a one-stop shop for information and advice about issues important to them.
