Harrogate police are appealing for the public’s help to find a woman who has been reported missing from home.
Update 1.55pm Tuesday 1 October 2013: Police searching for missing Harrogate woman Sarah Louise Ryan have located her near Conyngham Hall in Knaresborough. She has been taken to Harrogate District Hospital for a medical assessment.
Officers would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance with the appeal to trace her.
Sarah Louise Ryan, aged 47, was last seen by her husband at their home in Harrogate at around 6.40pm on Monday 30 September 2013. There have been no sightings of her since and fears for her safety are growing.
Officers are concerned that Sarah has been out in the open overnight and searches are ongoing in the Harrogate area to try and locate her.
She is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, with shoulder-length blonde hair. When she was last seen, Sarah was wearing a red top, brown corduroy trousers and black shoes. It is believed she may also have a brown cardigan with her.
Inspector Jon Naughton, of Harrogate police, said:
The police and Sarah’s family are obviously worried about her and we need to find her as soon as possible to make sure she is safe.
She has been missing overnight and we are searching areas where we know she likes to visit.
I am appealing to the public to keep an eye out for Sarah and to get in touch if they see anyone matching her description.
She is known to like the Yorkshire Showground and Conyngham Hall, so I would particularly appeal to people out cycling or walking in those areas to look out for her.
Anyone with information that can help officers to locate Sarah Ryan, is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
