Northern Powergrid have confirmed that there was a cable fault in the Starbeck area of Harrogate yesterday evening.
It happened at 8:29pm (9 Sept 13) on an 11KV cable resulting in loss of supply to 5,107 properties in the district.
The control room immediately dispatched a maintenance team to the area and worked remotely switching supplies.
Supplies were restored in stages with all supplies back by 11:18pm
Northern Powergrid have apologised to all the customers affected and are now working to repair the cable.
