Harrogate police issue security reminder following Almsford Close burglary

1 July 2013

PoliceDetectives in Harrogate are appealing for information following a burglary in the town.

It occurred sometime between 9am and 11am on Friday 28 June 2013, from a house on Almsford Close.

The burglars stole jewellery including a diamond engagement ring, a ladies gold Rolex wristwatch and gold cufflinks.

Detective Constable Chris Spackman, of Harrogate CID, said:

If you were in the Almsford Close area around the time of the burglary, I am asking you to come forward if you noticed any unusual or suspicious activity.

I also need to speak to anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale and ask that they get in touch.

Can I remind homeowners to ensure that they lock their doors, even if they are at home. Also, if the door has a security chain, use this as well.

If you would like to know how secure your home is, why not complete the survey on our website.
