A man from Harrogate has been reported missing and the police are appealing for help from the general public to help find him.
Christopher Aldred, aged 53, of Harrogate, was last seen at Bradford Cathedral this morning (7 June) where he works as an administrator.
However, after leaving work he did not return home and officers are concerned for his welfare.
Mr Aldred’s vehicle, a yellow Smart car bearing the registration plate KK08 DVG, was seen travelling west on the M62 earlier today and officers are urging the public to report any sightings of the car or Mr Aldred.
Mr Aldred is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, with green eyes and short, light brown wavy hair, with a tanned complexion.
Inspector Andy Chapman, of North Yorkshire Police, said:
We are concerned for Mr Aldred’s welfare and I urge anyone who sees anyone matching his description to contact the police as soon as possible.
I would also urge people to report any sightings of Mr Aldred’s yellow Smart car, which is quite distinctive.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 1 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
