JML event pedigree confirmed by new business wins

27 May 2013

Harrogate-based Joe Manby Limited is celebrating a record six months, achieved through new business wins and consolidating activities for existing events. The first half of 2013 has seen a 12 per cent rise in business.

Director Andrew Manby credits part of this growth to undertaking the first of the nine shows for Centaur Exhibitions, part of Centaur Media PLC. Since the beginning of the year, Joe Manby Limited has also secured an all service package for the newly-launched Manchester Pet Show and Surfex 2014.

In addition to new consumer and trade shows, Joe Manby Limited demonstrated its long standing show pedigree by being re-appointed to provide event services for the long-established BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME). Joe Manby Limited has worked with the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) since 1991 and has been appointed for the next three years from 2014. The event takes place at the Harrogate International Centre every January.

Jim Croxton, CEO at BIGGA, said:

We have assembled a brilliant team of suppliers including Joe Manby Limited and between us we have the exhibition down to a fine art. Nothing is too much bother and we feel that we are all part of one team working to produce each exhibition. The Joe Manby Limited team work in a calm, efficient manner which is contagious and keeps even the most stressed exhibitor calm.

Comments Andrew Manby:

We have continued to secure additional contracts by offering clients a fully integrated range of event services. Equally important to growth, is the on-going support of existing clients. We are delighted to continue to build on our long term relationships as well as provide the event services for a new range of shows around the UK.

One such new show is the Manchester Pet Show, which is being held at EventCity in Manchester in September 2013 where the event organisers will be taking advantage of Joe Manby Limited’s Floorplan Live service. The show is expected to attract around 20,000 pet lovers from around the country and Joe Manby Limited is supplying the shell scheme, electrics, furniture and graphics to an anticipated 160 exhibitors across five pet themed zones.
