Pedestrian hit by car in Ripon

PoliceA pedestrian in Ripon was hit by a car in Ripon earlier in the week – but left unhurt.

The pedestrian was a 62-year-old local woman who was crossing Kirby Road, near Calverts Carpets.

The incident occurred at 5.20pm on Tuesday 21 May 2013, when she was struck by a black or grey vehicle.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of the vehicle who did not stop at the scene of the incident.

Anyone with information that can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Constable Steve James or Harrogate Roads Policing Group.
